Robert (Bob) P. Christiansen is a distinguished leader, outdoor enthusiast, and devoted Scouting volunteer. As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Explore Scientific and Alpen Optics, Bob is instrumental in the financial stewardship and strategic growth of these renowned companies, which are dedicated to making exploration accessible to all.
From an early age, Bob's passion for the great outdoors was ignited by his parents, who were avid hikers and campers. His love for hiking and camping has been a constant throughout his life, and he has shared this passion with countless others through his involvement in Scouting.

His leadership at the national level, particularly his role as the last Southern Region Area 8 Commissioner, showcases his reach and influence beyond his local council.
Bob’s service has not gone unnoticed, earning him the Silver Beaver Award, the William D. Boyce New Unit Organizer Award, and the Vigil honor in the Order of the Arrow.
