Warranty Coverage
We stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our products and warrant them against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service.
- All non-electronic optical products are covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty for the usable life of the product.
- Electronics are covered by a 5-Year Limited Warranty from the original date of purchase.
At our discretion, products confirmed to have a manufacturing defect will be repaired or replaced with the same or a comparable model.
What This Warranty Covers
This warranty covers defects related to:
- Materials
- Workmanship
- Manufacturing quality
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. If a defect is confirmed during inspection, Explore Scientific LLC (the warranty provider for Alpen Optics in the USA) will repair or replace the product at its discretion.
What This Warranty Does Not Cover
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and cosmetic damage
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, unauthorized modification, or improper maintenance
- Damage resulting from accidents, impacts, or environmental exposure beyond intended use

Electronics Coverage (5-Year Term)
Electronic components, including but not limited to laser rangefinders, illuminated optics, thermal devices, or powered accessories, are covered for five (5) years from the original purchase date.
After the 5-year period, electronics are no longer eligible for warranty repair or replacement but may still qualify for paid service if available.
Limited Lifetime Coverage (Non-Electronic Products)
All non-electronic optical products are covered for the usable lifetime of the product against defects in materials and workmanship, subject to the exclusions listed above.
“Lifetime” refers to the usable life of the product, not the lifetime of the owner.
